SHRM Specialist, Audio/Video Production in Alexandria, Virginia
SHRM’s Multimedia Department creates top quality audio and video products that are distributed internally, across the Web and on social platforms. Our content helps tell the story of HR professionals, define HR concepts and extend the reach of the SHRM brand to digital audiences across the globe.
The Audio/Video Production Specialist assists with the creation, editing and distribution of SHRM's audio/video content. The position executes SHRM's audio/video offerings by creating compelling content that serves and engages the SHRM community, meets the needs of the organization and positions SHRM as a thought leader. The specialist works closely with management to partner with all stakeholder groups to deliver quality content.
Act as production resource for audio/video needs across SHRM's content, revenue and product areas.
Respond promptly to creative services tickets requesting audio/video support.
Shoot, edit and record high-quality audio/video content as needed.
Maintain thorough knowledge of fast-changing audio/video trends and technologies.
Works with the social media team to identify strategies to reach and grow targeted audience for SHRM audio and videos.
Help train staff on recording or other techniques, as appropriate.
Other duties and projects as assigned.
High school diploma.
3 years of progressive professional video production experience, including strategy and execution.
Demonstrated experience executing audio/video projects from concept to completion.
Experience with equipment set-up (on location and in studio) and video branding efforts.
Strong command of Adobe Creative Suite (especially Adobe Premiere) as well as audio editing tools.
Familiarity with social publishing requirements for audio/video assets.
Experience using a range of content management systems and video platforms.
Portfolio that represents audio/video production and editing skills.
Creative, design-thinker with excellent interpersonal skills.
Enthusiasm for workplace issues and for the SHRM member and mission.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects at once.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software/tools.
