As the voice of all things work, the SHRM marketing team is a business-critical function core to SHRM’s growth. As the manager of a strategic growth segment, this role will lead the company’s B2B marketing transformation using audience-centric strategy and sales enablement to drive awareness, acquisition, engagement, and retention of members and customers for SHRM’s customized product suite of business solutions.

Working directly with business leaders, the manager will be responsible for the audience segment across the consumer journey, developing integrated marketing strategies, executing omnichannel campaigns, analyzing data, utilizing marketing technology, and optimizing performance marketing levers to drive qualified sales opportunities and revenue growth.This position requires an intense understanding of audience insights and behaviors, as well as the ability to effectively engage and persuade those in the market segment. Additionally, the candidate must be comfortable leading new efforts without existing processes to follow.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, build, and launch B2B focused marketing strategies to generate demand, drive engagement within target enterprise accounts, and achieve revenue goals across the Enterprise Solutions segment.

  • Partner with various stakeholder teams such as Enterprise Sales, Executive Network Marketing, and Membership to build and manage a pipeline of qualified leads.

  • Together with the Growth Marketing Manager, develop integrated Account Based Marketing programs to target Enterprise accounts.

  • Lead a team of marketers who together drive business value, revenue growth and customer lifetime value.

  • Day-to-day management of a multi-million-dollar budget.

  • Own the customer journey, from prospective efforts through customer retention, and deliver on experiential benefits including webinars and in-person events.

  • Together with SHRM’s creative agency of record, lead the creation of supporting marketing collateral from presentations and flyers to social media and digital assets.

  • Utilize data-driven marketing best practices such as customer segmentation, A/B testing, and analytics to inform spend decisions and drive a favorable return on investment (ROI).

  • Measure, analyze, and translate data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.

  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Education, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience

  • At least eight (8) years of product, membership and/or solutions customer-centric marketing experience in with at least six (6) years of experience focusing in B2B marketing. 3+ years of experience managing people.

  • Deep understanding of the B2B sales funnel and strong focus on driving qualified leads and Sales opportunities.

  • Experience with demand generation, personalization, direct-response marketing programs, CRM, conversation rate optimization, account-based marketing.

  • Proven ability to collaborate across division to implement processes and achieve results.

  • Experience with digital tools like Marketo and Salesforce to generate, capture, nurture, track and report on leads, conversions, and ROI.

  • Deep understanding of content marketing tailored for executive/c-suite audience.

  • End-to-end, multi-touch campaign development that includes but not limited to strategy, targeting and segmentation, execution, and measurement.

  • High level of responsiveness and ability to adapt to change.

  • Strong problem-solving and executive presentation skills.

  • Appetite to innovate, fail-fast, and be smart and curious.

  • Lead with bold purpose while collaborating fiercely with a high degree of accountability.

  • Exceptional writer, with a deep understanding of content marketing tailored for c-suite and senior leaders.

  • Oversight of digital advertising, SEO/SEM, and/or social media efforts.
