The Manager, Marketing Technology is responsible for developing, maintaining and enhancing a framework for and effectiveness of marketing technologies in order to increase ROI across all product lines. This position will ensure integrations across all marketing digital platforms are adhering to a consistent architecture; will work with marketing team to lead testing and optimization of marketing concepts; will stay current with releases for marketing automation and CDP platforms and will recommend any new technologies that could aid in more effective marketing processes. This position will also serve as the internal marketing technology subject matter expert and facilitate, promote, and support a test-and-learn culture.

Your Day:

  • Responsible for staying current on new marketing technology-related releases, training team on new technologies, such as marketing automation, web personalization and serves as internal subject matter expert for the organization.

  • Identify opportunities to improve marketing automation programs to increase effectiveness, including audience segmentation, personalization.

  • Support web and email personalization technologies by driving use case development to improve member experience across different channels.

  • Serves as Marketing Department liaison with the Technology Department.

  • Design and develop scalable middleware applications to complete system integration gaps.

  • Work with the marketing team to maintain consistent campaign tagging and cross-channel tracking.

  • Work with the business intelligence team to develop marketing dashboards and a structure for attribution models.

  • Develop and implement, within existing technologies or new technologies, a cross-channel campaign management architecture.

  • Drive technology development and optimization of marketing processes, systems, and infrastructure to enable the marketing team to scale.

  • Conduct multivariate and A/B concept and creative testing in collaboration with marketing team.

  • Partner with Business Intelligence team to ensure correct tracking codes are installed and tracking appropriate metrics.

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience

  • 5-7 years in marketing technology, digital marketing or technology role required. Proven experience in implementing and maintaining marketing technologies. Working knowledge of SQL, SAS, web analytics tools (Google Analytics/etc.), and MS Office Suite of products, including advanced-level skill with Excel. Project management experience, including ability to work on multiple projects.

  • Experience with marketing automation platform like Marketo.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Strong analytical background with intellectual curiosity and openness.

  • Strong understanding of underlying web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.

  • Strong business, marketing and information systems acumen.

  • Excellent Excel and SQL skills, strong understanding of relational database structures.

  • Expert knowledge of marketing automation platforms, such as Marketo, email best practices including targeted lists, subject lines, messaging and deliverability.

  • Knowledge of using content marketing to drive customer acquisition.

  • Ability to write custom JavaScript and jQuery code.

  • Knowledge of Google Analytics and APIs including event and e-commerce tagging.

  • Knowledge of marketing and technology platforms: Salesforce, Netsuite, Interaction Studio, Google Marketing Platform including GA360, Tag Manager and Optimize.

  • Working experience with personalization technologies like Salesforce Interaction Studio (formally Evergage)

  • Exposure to predictive analytics and machine learning based recommendations

  • Marketo Certified Professional (Preferred)

  • Google Analytics Certified (Preferred)

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations.

  • Work is generally done sitting, talking, hearing and typing. Visual acuity to use a keyboard, prepare and analyze data and figures; transcribing, viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.

Work Environment

  • Work is regularly performed in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.

  • Travel Required: Occasional 0-10%
