With the Manager, Apprenticeship Program, the HR RAP Recruiter will develop and implement strategies to recruit employers into the HR RAP to meet the goals of the Closing the Skills Gap grant. Conduct outreach to build the SHRM apprenticeship brand to HR professionals and SHRM Chapters and Councils through various platforms including presentations, email and phone communications, and one-on-one meetings.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Develop and implement an employer recruitment strategy to secure new apprenticeship placements

•Maintain a SHRM Salesforce database of potential and established employers, apprentices and apprenticeship partners.

•Work with chapters and councils as assigned to support their efforts to recruit employers

•Assist in developing new materials and tools to help HR professionals build the apprenticeship program

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

•Bachelor’s Degree or extensive experience in lieu of a degree

•Minimum 5 years-experience in a business development, human resources, communication, recruiting, project management or sales role

CERTIFICATIONS

•SHRM-CP and other SHRM credentials preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

•SME on apprenticeship and support programs (DOL, WIOA, Workforce Boards, American Job Centers, etc.)

•Strong communication and presentation skills

•Familiarity with the HR profession

•Process oriented with an eye for continual improvement

•Proficiency with Microsoft Suite products (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

•Familiarity with Client Relationship Management tools (Salesforce)

•Able to travel 30% of time

•Comfortable using and creating social media

Physical Requirements

•Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations.

•Work is generally done sitting, talking, hearing, and typing. Visual acuity to use a keyboard, prepare and analyze data and figures; transcribing, viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.

Work environment

•Work is regularly performed in a combination of office and conference settings and routinely uses standard office equipment.
