SUMMARY:

The Director, Digital Transformation, will lead SHRM through a pivotal shift towards digital-first solutions, optimizing our processes, and enhancing our competitive edge in the market. This role will spearhead the management of our digital transformation portfolio. With a strategic mindset and a passion for innovation, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading our large-scale customer experience technology implementation that aligns with SHRM’s goals, improves efficiency, and delivers exceptional value to our members and customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute a company-wide digital transformation strategy that incorporates marketing, sales, and customer experience technologies s to meet current and future business needs.

  • Lead cross-functional teams in the design, development, and deployment of digital tools and processes, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to business operations.

  • Champion the adoption of digital solutions across the organization, providing leadership and support to ensure all team members are equipped to utilize new technologies effectively.

  • Collaborate with external system integrator(s), IT, marketing, sales, and other departments to ensure the digital strategy complements all areas of the business, enhancing overall performance and customer satisfaction.

  • Oversee the digital project portfolio, prioritizing initiatives based on business impact and ensuring timely and on-budget delivery.

  • Stay abreast of emerging digital trends and technologies, continuously assessing their potential to drive business improvement and competitive advantage.

  • Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging creativity and experimentation in the pursuit of digital excellence.

  • Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of digital initiatives, using data to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in digital transformation and portfolio management with a proven track record of leading successful digital change initiatives.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, or a related field; an MBA or relevant postgraduate degree preferred.

  • Strong leadership skills, with experience managing cross-functional technical teams and projects in a complex organizational environment.

  • Experience with digital transformation frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.

  • Proven expertise in change management, including the ability to effectively communicate the need for change, manage resistance, and facilitate a smooth transition to new processes and technologies.

  • Provenability to lead and inspire diverse, cross-collaborative teams comprised of employees, contractors, and consultants.

· Adobe Experience Cloud

  • Deep understanding of current and emerging digital technologies, specifically Adobe Experience Cloud, and their application in a business context.

  • Leading and managing large-scale, complex technology implementation portfolios.

  • Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

  • An innovative mindset with the ability to adapt to emerging technologies and industry best practices.

  • Strong business acumen and a deep understanding of various industry verticals, with the ability to align digital transformation initiatives with overarching business goals and strategies.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the skill to articulate a clear vision for digital transformation and engage all levels of the organization.

  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving digital landscape, with a willingness to embrace and drive change proactively.

  • Proficiency in data analytics and a strong focus on data-driven decision-making.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations.

  • Work is generally done sitting, talking, hearing, and typing. Visual acuity to use a keyboard, prepare and analyze data and figures; transcribing, viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.

Work environment

  • Work is regularly performed in a combination of office and conference settings and routinely uses standard office equipment.

  • Expected travel is 0-10% of the time.

The hiring range for this position is $150,000 to $195,000 per year. This range is an estimate and the actual salary may vary based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. SHRM offers a competitive and comprehensive total rewards package.
